About Me
My first introduction to Doulas was in 1995 at the birth of my daughter.
The doula arrived at my bedside as part of a volunteer hospital service.
Her gentle encouragement and support helped my husband and I
through a long, difficult labor. When she was born, I was so overcome with joy
that I knew at that moment I was going to be a doula and help women achieve that same amazing feeling. Within a year, I quit my corporate job and was working towards my new goal.
I became a Nationally Certified Doula thru Doulas of North America (DONA)and continued my education by studying midwifery with Elizabeth Davis of Heart and Hands.
I had my second baby, then became a Certified Childbirth Educator from the Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators (ALACE).
In 2006, I began my career with Kaiser Permanente as their Childbirth Educator and Newborn Care Instructor& in 2014 I completed training as a certified Hypnobabies Hypno-doula where I continue to serve our birthing community.
